TiC Rate Gap Scanner is an independent project that helps employers see how their health insurance rates may compare with other rates in their area. It is built on the federal Transparency in Coverage rule, which requires health plans to publish their negotiated rates as machine-readable files.

Where the data comes from

The analysis is based on the public machine-readable files that insurers publish under the CMS Transparency in Coverage mandate. We do not use private or purchased rate data, and we do not hold your plan documents.

The Price Gap Report is an informational comparison. It is not a quote, not an offer of insurance and not a recommendation to change carriers. You can request it from the form on the home page.
